Term Life Insurance vs. Permanent Life Insurance

Term Life Insurance

Term life insurance offers the highest amount of coverage, for the least amount of cost to you! The premiums remain level for the entire length of the term. The length of the coverage is determined by you, and the needs that you have. Term insurance is most often sold in 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30-year lengths. Once the term ends, your insurance doesn’t have to end. If you decide that you still need coverage at the end of a term there are a few options available to you, and with no proof of insurability!

When you think of term, remember the following:

  • Guaranteed rates – for the entire length of the term
  • Guaranteed renewable, regardless of your health or age – up to age 95 (with most companies)
  • Guaranteed conversion, at any point up to age 70 (with most companies)

Permanent Life Insurance
Permanent life insurance is designed to offer you coverage for your entire life. Most products offer a level premium; have internal cash value accumulation, and a death benefit that lasts for your whole life. Many consumers find that permanent insurance is too costly, and ultimately may be better off with term insurance. Term life insurance offers lower premiums, making it easier to afford while still getting the coverage your family needs.
